Description and Table of Contents

Description

This volume provides a detailed review of the process of international commercial arbitration, from the drafting of the arbitration agreement to the enforcement of the arbitral tribunal's award. It describes the role of the main international arbitral institutions, and explains how international commercial arbitrations should be conducted in order to be cost effective. The authors advise on suitable places of arbitration, review the latest developments in international trade law and analyze the achievements attained and opportunities offered by the UNICTRAL Model Law. This second edition has been revised to include appendices which describe the arbitration rules of various countries. There are also sections of various Acts relating to this specialist field, such as the Swiss Private International Law Act Chapter 12 and the Netherlands Arbitration Act 1986.
