Description and Table of Contents
Description
This book addresses the causes and possible cures for corrosion and deposits due to impurities in the combustion of industrial and municipal refuse. Included are papers presented at the "International Engineering Foundation Conference on Fireside Problems While Incinerating Municipal and Industrial Waste". Attendees discussed identifying those constituents in refuse responsible for fireside problems, the mechanisms by which these impurities deposit and cause corrosion of heat transfer surfaces, economically viable solutions and the areas in which further research may produce the most promising results. It is aimed at corrosion researchers, plant operators and mechnaical and industrial engineers.
Table of Contents
- Experience with firing refuse in Europe
- refuse experience in North America
- fundamental research and mechanisms
- refuse-firing experience in field and experimentation units materials selection
- blending of fuels and RDF
- further experience with fireside problems while firing MSW or RDF.
