内容説明
With the advent of molecular biology, pathologists today face a broad and complex range of activities which demand a high degree of technical competence. This volume offers coverage of the new methodology in respect to paediatric pathology, with special emphasis on DNA cytometry. Invited experts describe in detail the basic principles and techniques underlying molecular biological methods, provide practical recipes for these techniques, and illustrate their clinical application in various infectious, neoplastic and hereditary diseases. Attention is also given to the use of flow and image cytometry to measure cellular DNA content in childhood tumours and to improve the diagnosis of hydatidiform moles. Illustrating the essential role of molecular biology in relating structure, function, pathogenesis and diagnosis, this reference is designed for all those interested in flow cytometry and other recent methodology.
