Description
This study follows on from the authors' study of the 1970s. Particular attention is paid to employment change in terms of composition (male/female and full-time/part-time), manufacturing change in the context of deindustrialisation, and the effects of the expansion of the service sector (producer and consumer services) on the location and type of employment generated.
