A guide to the choice and use of imaging techniques for evaluation of skeletal and soft issues injuries involving the spine, pelvis, and extremities. Coauthored by 21 orthopedic surgeons and radiologists, most of whom are at the Mayo Clinic, "Imaging of Orthopedic Trauma" assembles all the clinical and imaging details needed to obtain optimal information from radiographic studies in adult trauma, post-reduction follow-up, and complications of trauma. The Second Edition has been revised to incorporate the many new developments in orthopedic radiology since the First Edition was published, particularly the emergence of MRI in evaluation of soft tissue injuries. Complementing the text are more than 2,000 illustrations, carefully selected to demonstrate the advantages of certain imaging techniques for specific clinical problems.
