This aims to be a complete guide to the whole subject of powers of attorney - creating them, interpreting them, using them, plus the respective powers and duties of the various parties involved with notes on special uses to which they can be applied. Updated and revised, it aims to provide a comprehensive explanation of the Enduring Powers of Attorney (Prescribed Form) Regulations 1990. It covers section 1 of the Law of Property (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1989 and sets out precedents including statutory declarations of non-revocation of ordinary powers and enduring powers for land registration purposes. The text also illustrates special uses for ordinary and enduring powers of attorney and incorporates Re R, the companies Act 1989 and the impact of the Contracts (Applicable Law) Act 1990. It also describes the protection of an attorney and includes the reproduction of a prescribed form of enduring power of attorney.
