内容説明

Freud discovered that psychoanalysis in its essence promotes individuation. In that sense, psychoanalysis is itself a manifestation of love and the emergence of psychoanalysis onto the human scene must, from this perspective, be part of love's developmental history. This book provides an exploration of the value of psychoanalysis, the nature of the individual, and the power of love. Freud felt the power of his insight (psychoanalysis being a cure through love) but did not pursue its implications. Beginning where Freud left off, this book argues that love is active, not just in the development of the individual but also in individual analysis and indeed in the development of psychoanalysis itself.
