内容説明
The inexhaustible vitality of Mikhail Bulgakov's writing is reflected in the current upsurge of Soviet interest in his works. Referring to research data newly released in the Gorbachev era, this book gives fresh insight into the philosophical and moral preoccupations which emerge from the interweaving of the Moscow and Jerusalem narratives in "The Master and Margarita". More generally, this work aims to increase the understanding of the plight of the artists and ordinary citizens in a society struck by spiritual paralysis.
