Description

This book explains the law and insurance cover available under the Consumer Protection Act 1987, intended for senior company executives in order that they can arrange appropriate insurance cover. It also considers the ways in which other EC states have exercised their options under the EC Directive on Product Liability and clarifies the possibilities of "forum shopping" for claimants. There are also chapters on the criminal aspects of the 1987 Act, product liability risk management considerations and insurance problems including the handling of claims.
