This is a geography text for A-level and Higher Grade students which is especially suitable for the new A-level syllabuses. Its aim is to give students an understanding of the interaction of people and environments. The introduction illustrates the mechanism of decision-making in relation to people and their environments. The text then follows six themes - managing physical systems, managing ecosystems, agricultural and rural development, issues in industrial development, energy and urban issues - and provides an analysis of issues resulting from the interaction of people with their environment.
