Description
One of CEDFOP's main tasks is to co-operate with the Commission of the EC in carrying out national and comparative studies of existing and emerging occupational and qualification structures within certain groups of occupations in the most important of the member states' industrial, trade and service sectors. For this report, studies of the metal and chemical industries were commissioned in four member states (Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, and the UK). They reveal different but comparable findings on changes in occupational and qualification structures and the emergence of new, environmental occupations.
