Description
The efficient and effective utilization of fuel and energy resources is a problem of major importance. The ever increasing heat exchanger ratings and flowrate volumes utilize increasingly large heat exchangers. Making these more efficient and compact will ensure a significant saving of fuel, construction materials and labour. This volume surveys the latest achievements in the field of heat transfer enhancement in single and two-phase flows and in increasing the compactness of heat exchangers. Three new methods of heat transfer enhancement are presented, these being the results of an extensive series of studies that were performed in several Soviet institutes.
Table of Contents
- Selection and validation of methods of heat transfer enhancement
- experimental methods and equipment
- results of experimental studies of the flow structure, heat transfer and hydraulic drag in enhanced channels
- results of experimental studies of the flow structure, heat transfer, mixing and hydraulic drag in tube bundles.
