内容説明

This book has its origins in previous material developed by these authors in the field of inservice training and initial training of teachers. The book explores both the essential skills and key issues of teaching in further education, and does so in a very practical way. It offers tutors and lecturers a range of exercises and activities designed to promote their own professional development. Above all the book's practical, classroom based approach is combined with a vision of what further education can and should be. It is reinforced at key points with evidence from research but the whole is presented clearly and without jargon. This book is likely to appeal to anyone who teaches in the post-16 sector of education. It will be of value to practising lecturers in colleges of further education and tutors in adult education enabling them to build on and improve their teaching skills. It will also be used on initial and inservice training courses and by those tutors coming from the professions into these fields who have no previous teaching experience. Tutors of post-16 students in vocational settings will also find the book of practical assistance.
