内容説明

This book aims to map out the global nature of sociological thought today. It provides material on British society as well as readings on developments affecting the global order as a whole. Readings range from micro studies of interaction to discussion of the most far-flung forms of social system now affecting our lives. The disappearance of the "Second World" is analyzed and the implications of this change discussed as well as including material about Third World countries. Throughout "Human Societies" the aim is to produce a selection of readings that is clear and easy to follow. To further this directive each section is preceded by a description and interpretation of the sources which that section contains.
