内容説明

This volume provides insight into current theories and controversies regarding myocardial reperfusion and reperfusion-induced injury. The concepts presented aim to advance the understanding of the direct relationship of reperfusion injury to the beneficial effects of restoring coronary flow to the myocardium after an ischemic insult. Additional chapters examine myocardial adaptive responses to ischemia, particularly the myocardial protective effects of ischemic preconditioning and stress protein synthesis. The book concludes with a discussion of current and future approaches to the problems associated with reperfusion injury.
