Description and Table of Contents

Description

Taken from the Romanian viewpoint, this is a critical analysis of the different and often conflicting Allied interests - frequently unrelated to Romania itself - which brought about Romania's absorption into the Soviet orbit after World War II. The book also explores the potential of Romanian moderate forces, the rift within the Romanian Communist Party itself, and the difficult relationship between the Romanian Party and the Kremlin.
