Description and Table of Contents
Description
This book is intended as a description of principles, indications and techniques of surgery on the extraocular muscles. It is neither a comprehensive reference book nor is it only a picture atlas of strabismus surgery. It is pictorial and textual and is aimed to aid residents and graduates in opthalmology with guidelines for the management of surgical strabismus conditions. The book assumes a basic knowledge of ocular motility and describes the surgical conditions, the indications for specific procedures and the techniques for almost all the existing procedures. The book also discusses three of the most significant recent advances in strabismus management, the use of botulinum toxin, adjustable sutures and the Faden operation.
