Description

This book contains the papers presented at the Workshop on Broadband Communications organised by the IFIP Technical Committee 6 and held in Estoril from January 20-22, 1992. The papers cover current directions of research and development in many fields of Broadband Communications, having the main focus on the areas of B-ISDN Network Architecture, Metropolitan Area Networks, B-ISDN Signalling, Broadband Switching, Services, Traffic Management, Protocols and Demonstrators.
