内容説明
The Association Internationale des Ecoles Superieures d'Education Physique (AIESEP) is one of the main international, non-governmental organizations concerned with teaching and research in physical education and sport. The AIESEP World Congress, held every four years, is a major gathering of sport and physical education specialists. The 1990 Congress, the papers of which are presented in this volume, drew delegates from 35 countries. This volume comprises the proceeding of this conference. Five main themes are covered by the contributors. The first section deals with sport pedagogy: research into teaching and coaching in physical education and sport. Section Two deals with special populations: the physical activity needs of individuals with disabilities. Section Three looks at health-related exercise, the teaching of which in school has become a major change of focus in recent years. Sections Four and Five cover coach education and sport in the broader contexts of leisure and lifestyle.
Though much of the research and practice documented here deals with educational issues, those concerned with sport from a scientific, medical or sociological perspective should find their specializations are also represented.
