内容説明
This updated second edition retains all the material from the first edition as well as incorporating some new chapters - on light sources, metamerism, precision and accuracy in colorimetry, and measuring fluorescent samples. Concentrating on the relationship between what is measured and what the human eye sees "Measuring Colour" serves the function of combining the traditional principles of colour measurement with recent international recommendations for their applications. The new material includes a description of illuminants commonly in use, together with the ways in which they can be represented and evaluated in colorimetry. The author discusses the causes and effects of variability and error, providing practical ways of detecting and introducing corrections. This new edition also has a far more detailed study of the important phenomenon of metamerism, in its various manifestations, and contains a more comprehensive treatment of the complex topic of the colorimetry of fluorescent materials. Finally, the model of colour vision for predicting colour appearance has been considerably revised and extended to include all the latest developments in this very active field.
