内容説明
In this work, Christina Thurmer-Rohr argues that to secure a place in this world, women have always had to participate in the creation and maintenance of male values. She believes that in order to play a valid role within society, women must abandon their present security and become homeless. She argues that the relinquishment of this security should not be perceived as a loss, but is a precondition for withdrawal from a male-dominated society. The author's ideas do not lead to rash political or therapeutic action, but give opportunity to rethink and alter one's beliefs. The topics covered include images of masculinity and femininity, the nuclear industry and women's roles as carers.
