Description and Table of Contents
Description
Transnational corporations (TNCs) are a significant factor in the world economy. They are responsible for a large share of the world's agricultural, mineral and manufacturing industries and of the business, financial and personal services that are provided to its inhabitants. Government officials and local entrepreneurs of developing countries will be faced with countless decisions concerning interactions with TNCs. This manual attempts to provide host countries with tools that will enhance their decision-making capabilities. It does so by examining step-by-step the decisions that developing countries must make about their interactions with TNCs. At each step it discusses the information that would be needed and suggests sources from which it may be gained.
