内容説明
Considerable changes in the eating habits of British adults have occurred in recent years. More women are working outside the home, greater numbers of people travel abroad, the immigrant population has grown and awareness of the importance of a healthy lifestyle is increasing. These changes and concern about the relationship between diet and health prompted this survey. It provides a detailed range of information on current dietary behaviour and the nutritional status of the adult population in Britain. The survey establishes a database of the range and consumption of food and drink, which can be used for future comparison. It also provides data showing physiological measurements and blood pressure, which may help identify the characteristics of individuals at increased risk of coronary heart disease and enable the calculation of likely dietary intakes of natural toxicants, food additives and contaminants.
