Description
This international conference proceedings is concerned with the use of AI techniques in CAD: an area of rapidly growing interest and great practical significance. Papers explore the state of the art for these intelligent CAD systems, delineate future directions in both research and practice, and discuss ways to promote further developments. The book presents a unique collection of papers and transcribed discussions all demonstrating the recent progress in this field. Topics move from information and control flow in parametric design, to issues of structure, and hence to behavior and function. A chapter on organization of design knowledge leads to constraint handling. Discussions on Research Trends, and IntCAD Themes and Predictions are additionally included.
