Over recent years there have been major advances made in the area of growth and development. The above mentioned congress brought together physicians and scientists studying all aspects of growth and development; from environmental and nutritional issues to chronic diseases and endocrine abnormalities. This publication has taken into consideration various clinical and basic aspects of research that have impacted these advances in Auxology. Current diagnostic procedures and treatment of short stature are covered. Topics range from nutrition to environment and chronic diseases impacts on growth and development.
