Presented in two volumes, this publication contains legislation for the company law practitioner. It presents the Companies Act 1985, the three related 1985 statutes, the Insolvency Act 1986, the Company Directors Disqualification Act 1986 and the Companies Act 1989. All amendments to the above 1985 and 1986 legislation and to other relevant legislation made by the Companies Act 1989 have been covered, up to and including those in the 11th commencement order to that statute. The book also contains extracts from selected ancillary statutes, the Insolvency Rules 1986 (as amended) and other relevant statutory instruments including the commencement orders to the 1989 Act and other 1990 and 1991 statutory instruments. Features of the book include a separate index for the Companies Act 1989 and a table relating its provisions to the various statutes reproduced; and a subsection of history, other notes and former wording for recent amendments and repeals.
