This supplement to the series of Dechema handbooks ("Corrosive Agents and their Interaction with Materials") on corrosion is intended to help users of the handbooks to find suitable alternative matallic materials and to switch from German standards to ASTM standards and vice versa. the standards, chemical compositions and essential mechanical properties are given, and where tradenames are known, they are also listed. The work is arranged clearly in material groups as well as in product types. Each material can be found in the index at the end of the book under its material number, material designation, its standard and, if possible, by its UNS number or tradename.
