内容説明

Breast ultrasound is a new diagnosis method whose importance is increasing. The indications cover palpable breast masses, mammographically indeterminate lesions, post-operative follow-up, ultrasound-guided invasive procedures and the analysis of axillary, supra-clavicular and intra-clavicular lymph nodes. This teaching atlas shows how breast ultrasound, using the manual real-time examination technique, is done and how important the method is to a complete breast cancer prevention programme. The reliability of this method alone and in combination with mammography is demonstrated in case studies.
