Description and Table of Contents
Description
Published collections of case studies of engineering and industrial failures are scarce resulting in very few books being available on this topic despite their obvious value to the understanding of the reasons for failure, and in the prevention of future failures. The purpose of this book is to fill the gap in the literature on this subject. The approach adopted is a generic one applicable to non-ferrous metals and plastics in addition to steels. The book is based on 40 typical failures.
