内容説明
This book presents a critical overview of European software copyright law. It describes the law relating to the copyright protection of computer programs and works stored / created by computer and examines the limits of the scope of legal protection and the boundaries between what is permitted and what is prohibited. It provides advice to persons and organizations developing computer software so that they can do so without infringing the rights of others and considers the position as regards "reverse analysis" of computer programs, how much use may be made of another's software, the developments in the European Communities (Draft Directive) and the outlook for the future. It also looks at other issues of vital importance to the computer industry such as ownership of rights in software, the copyright implications of using freelance staff and the positions regarding "computer-generated works". It is aimed at the computer industry and computer professionals i.e. information technology managers, data processing managers, software developers and programmers, hardware manufacturers, organizations developing "interoperable systems", innovators and information technology consultants.
