Description and Table of Contents

Description

This work combines the experience and expertise of a haematologist and two pathologists to present an integrated guide to the diagnosis of bone marrow disease. Practical in approach and comprehensive in its coverage of the subject matter, it is designed to act not only as a laboratory handbook but also as a reference for training and practising haematologists and pathologists. The results of haematological investigation (blood films and bone marrow aspirates) are integrated with the results of histological studies (bone marrow biopsies) to give a multidisciplinary approach to the pathology of bone marrow disorders. Topics covered include acute and chronic leukaemias, myeloproliferative disorders and lymphomas. Specific disorders and pathological conditions are described and complemented by colour illustrations of cytochemistry and immunocytochemistry.
