内容説明

To mark the 100th volume in "Contributions to Nephrology", leading authorities who have made important contributions to our understanding of nephrology have been invited to write on a topic of their choice for this special publication. The result is often controversial and covers diverse subjects in the field. The contents include articles on renal hypouricaemia, function of the phagocyte, hypertension, general renal and trace element physiology and pathophysiology, recombinant human erythropoietin, peritoneal dialysis, endothelin and renal disease progression, and post-transplant acquired renal cysts. Of special interest are the diametrically opposed views presented in the chapters on acid base.
