Description and Table of Contents

Description

This book studies the production of power and the creation of structures through the use of models. It develops the conflictual and consensual traditions of power and the structuration presective (Giddens) of structures. The bringing together of the two strands offers an alternative theoretical perspective. The book provides an analysis of social power, intregrated into the broader framework of social order, and a critique of Gidden's theory.
