In this text, statistical processes are explained through logical, non-mathematical examples, complete with demonstrations that use popular computer programs such as SAS, SPSS-X and MINITAB. Special attention is given to principles important in applying and interpreting statistics, including inferring causality, and the difference between statistical significance and practical importance.
