内容説明

Analyzing the economic perspectives of less developed countries during the 1990s, this book tries to determine what external financial flows will be required to achieve "acceptable" pre-determined patterns of economic growth in the developing world, and what the future role of development aid can be in that respect. The study employs various methodologies in its assessment and discusses all less developed regions although it focuses on the least developed in particular. The main conclusion is that even under optimistic assumptions, the majority of the most vulnerable regions will need more rather than less aid in the 1990s.
