This volume is concerned with the developmental perspective in psychiatric disorders among children and adolescents. From the Emminghaus textbook on psychic disturbances in childhood to the present, developmental aspects have played a large role in the field, and have served as a kind of bridge or unifying concept, integrating different scientific and practical approaches to normality and psychopathology. This volume contains the empirical contributions of 26 child psychiatrists and clinical psychologists under the general headlines: general issues and methods in developmental psychopathology; developmental psychopathology in young children; and developmental psychopathology in school children and adolescents.
