Description and Table of Contents
Description
This short course equips the reader to deal with everyday situations when visiting Thailand, such as asking for directions, taking taxis, shopping and so on. The course is divided into 7 units, each corresponding to a day in the life of Jill and Frank, a young English couple visiting Thailand for the first time. Each unit is based on a dialogue which introduces the essential language items a realistic context. Key phrases are highlighted in the dialogues, and as an additional aid, a line-by-line English translation is provided. The dialogues are preceded by a brief "cultural introduction" and each unit also includes short grammatical explanations and follow-up activities aimed at providing the basis for a more thorough understanding of the way the language works.
