Description and Table of Contents

Description

Renal vasculitis is an uncommon feature of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). This publication focuses on the immunopathologic features, treatment and clinical outcome of vasculitic lesions in SLE. Clinico-pathologic correlations with regard to the glomerular involvement and the prognostic significance of sasculitis are also discussed. Antiendothelial cell antibodies and antiphospholipid antibodies as well as syndromes associated with the present of these autoantibodies receive particular attention, together with the latest information about their prognostic value and treatment. Presenting the most up-to-date knowledge on the subject, the book is designed for nephrologists, immunologists and pathologists interested in these unusual renal lesions.
