内容説明
Epidemiology is an expanding discipline not only being taught for the medical profession: many of the new students in the field have a background in sociology, statistics, or other disciplines. As a result of this development, an increasing number of new teachers have to become familiar with a rapidly expanding body of knowledge. This book is intended to help these teachers by pointing to key elements in the teaching of modern epidemiology at different levels. It has chapters on methodology as well as specific areas of disease- and exposure-oriented aspects of epidemiology. Experienced teachers and graduate students of public health should also find it useful, since it contains selected critical references and emphasizes key methodological concepts.
