Description and Table of Contents
Description
This new edition builds on the strengths of previous editions. It is a "stand-alone-text" for the treatment of the elderly. Obsolete material has been removed and some chapters have been completely re-written. The gerontology section is more closely linked to the clinical aspects of geriatric medicine and throughtout the book there is an increased emphasis on therapeutics and rehabilitation. The section on "Medical and Community Care of Old People" has been expanded and now includes an international perspective.
