Description
Illustrated with over 700 images, including 41 colour Doppler scans, this text aims to provide a precise, well-organized description and view of the normal structures and abnormalities encountered in clinical abdominal sonography. For each abdominal organ or structure, the text covers scanning techniques; normal anatomy and variants; pathology; and pitfalls, artifacts and practical tips. Different ultrasound manifestations of the same disease process are included where appropriate and the clinical significance of ultrasound findings is explained. A chapter on ultrasound-guided invasive procedures is also included. The books is aimed at student sonographers, radiology residents and medical students and should also provide a reference for sonographers, radiologists and clinicians in hospital, clinic and office settings.
