Description and Table of Contents
Description
Over the last decade, biomedical researchers have documented that individuals with Downs syndrome have a markedly high probability of developing Alzheimer disease in later life. This book presents a comprehensive overview of current research efforts aimed at understanding the behavioural, neuropathological, and genetic correlations between Downs syndrome and Alzheimer disease. As a survey of current knowledge on the subject, the book includes both clinical analyses and experimental approaches to offer a full perspective on the subject.
