Description and Table of Contents
Description
Even in a country as small as Britain the range of woodland types and the consequent potential for nature conservation is wide. These guidelines provide practical conservation advice to those involved in forestry. They look at two general areas, the maintenance and enhancement of the nature conservation value of existing woodlands and forest, and the opportunities to develop nature conservation in new planting. More detailed information on the importance of particular habitats and forestry practices are discussed and conservation in different woodland types explored.
