内容説明
This text brings together contributions from leading labour market scholars in Europe and the US to discuss the most important labour market topic for the 1990s: the impact of international economic integration on the system of labour market organization. The economic changes underway in Europe and elsewhere still leave open the question of what type of social organization and what types of institutions will develop in the new world where the boundaries of nation states are less clear cut. Nowhere are these policy options more apparent and more hotly debated than in the labour market. The contributions use a common methodological approach, in which insitutional and social organizations are seen as inseparable from economic organization, to show how current differences in labour markets relate to differences in economic structure and organization.
