内容説明

Minko Balkanski, together with his colleagues, has made pioneering contributions to many areas of solid state physics. They include the role of excitons in energy transport, the first observation of localized vibrational modes in solids, surface physics of semiconductors, magneto-optical phenomena in semiconductors and superionic conductors. This book containing articles by his friends and colleagues has been put together to honour his 65th birthday.
