This study is designed for those developing, implementing or using executive information systems. It contains a great deal of practical information, including a number of case studies from organizations such as London Underground and British Airways. The contributors have considerable experience of information systems and their chapters are based upon this experience. The topics discussed include corporate policy, globalization, organizational issues, total quality, current trends and developing practices. While there is emphasis on the practical aspects of the subject, research in the area is not forgotten, and chapters are included which describe some of the research issues involved and show where executive information systems may go in the future.
