Description
Transport is a vital element of modern life. This book presents a selection of operational, commercial and academic papers which have appeared in the journal "Transport Management". Following an introduction which places the various articles in perspective, the book is divided into four sections covering road, rail, sea and air transport. The articles constitute an overview of trends in transport between 1960 and 1990, and cover issues including deregulation, the environment and investment policy.
