内容説明

This comprehensive text covers the use of radiology with emergency care patients with a focus on soft tissue trauma and skeletal trauma that can affect soft tissue. A practical guide to initial evaluation, it helps the reader decide which procedures will produce the information necessary for accurate diagnosis and aids in the use of radiologic procedures for answering clinical questions. The book addresses trauma to the nervous system and its encasing bones; the heart, lungs, gastrointestinal tract, genitourinary system, and blood vessels; and problems specific to paediatric trauma patients. Each section includes a chapter devoted to approaching the patient. There are many examples of various injuries and observations on most appropriate and commonly used examinations. Chapters begin with an outline of procedures appropriate for the body part/organ system discussed, a brief description of the nature of each procedure, and its pros and cons. A quick reference table, "Guide to Radiographics Evaluation" appears in every chapter. This can be used as a quick outline reference to the diagnostic tools most useful for the particular system under discussion and the most often seen diagnoses.
