内容説明
This book is intended as a comprehensive analysis of Republican political life during the Spanish Civil War. However, it concentrates on two major areas: the way in which the military rebellion of July 1939 inspired a popular revolution that went on to shape the nature of politics in the Republican zone; and the gradual growth of the political and military power of the Spanish Communist Party. The book goes on to examine the role the Civil War played internationally as a result of the threatened involvement of the major powers, and how the struggle in Spain was reflected in the political tensions in other countries.
