Description

The purpose of this handbook is to provide information on the chemical structure and class of those natural organic compounds which are the products of the primary and secondary metabolism which occurs in plants.; The book is organized in an alphabetic format and each compound is listed by its trivial, well-known name and any synonyms and there is a clear indication of the class and subclass to which it belongs. The natural occurrence is covered by a short list of major sources plant name and family with an indication of the frequency of occurrence. The chemical structure, molecular weight and formula, biological activity and use by man are also provided.
